Sales Account Manager at Varitech Systems

We are a growing company, and this is an exciting opportunity to join our Sales team. The role includes dealing with incoming customer enquiries and assisting the sales force with daily sales activities.

We stock an extensive range of high quality and reliable products, with a range of over 8,000 line items. Our products include a range of water fed pole systems for internal and external glass cleaning, high pressure and gutter cleaning solutions and much more.

Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented and has a deep knowledge of customer service best practices.

Duties of Sales Key Account Manager

  • Receive and process orders onto ERP system via email and phone
  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers
  • Contact clients to obtain missing information and answer queries
  • Liaise with the logistics companies to ensure timely deliveries
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records
  • Process customer returns
  • Raise non-conformances on any returns
  • Support with market research programmes
  • Liaise with Accounts team to finalise finance paperwork
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and features
  • Book courier collections for customer returns where required
  • Set up new customer records where required
  • Raise customer commission credits where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Highly passionate and willing to learn
  • At least 2 years experience (Preferred)
  • Confident working on a PC platform
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to handle multiple and varied deadlines concurrently
  • Organised, proactive, reliable and motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident communicator – happy to approach others to gather information and discuss problems
  • Collaborative and friendly approach
  • Ability to work well as part of a wider team in an open plan environment
  • Fast learner and passionate for sales
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach


Work Times: Monday – Friday (7:30am-4.30pm)


Daily – Focus meetings

Weekly – Sales meetings

Monthly – Team meetings

Salary Range: £20,000 to £25,000

Areas of Operation: Sales Office

Reporting to: Jason Scott, Sales & Marketing Director
